Your cable may have a damaged end connector. Have also seen cables that needed to be held pushed in while doing a read or write. Does it read ok but only fail when doing a write?

Frank
I'm thinking the same, Frank.

It clones the data from the radio to the software, however the error message is displayed when attempting to send data back to the radio. Thanks.

Just an update here. I noticed a slight bit of oxidation on the USB end of the cable. I cleaned that up a bit and hit it with a small wire brush. Everything seems to be back to normal. Thanks to those who offered assistance. Interesting to note that my written message to Yaesu customer service has gone about a week unanswered. Not impressed with them, even though I didn't need them this time.

Their translator is on vacation. FYI: The folks at RT Systems are good ole boys from the south (LaGrange, GA). Since you're in Massachusetts, you might not understand them either. :)

I've had the same problem FT-60 radio; ADMS-1J-USB software. Can't find a cause, have found a fix:

Upload radio to ADMS, make changes desired. Save try fails.

Click, drag, Copy ADMS database rows to blank EXCEL worksheet
RE-upload radio to ADMS, saving to a new file.
Select and cut all the entries in this new ADMS database.
Copy Excel rows (you gott'a copy the entire row, not just the cells with data)
Paste into ADMS. You gotta re-assign/ match column names.
Download to FT-60.
