I bought the Icom close-fitting protective case (LC-189) for my R30, but I’ve looked all over for a padded case I can use in addition to that. I looked at neoprene cases and camera lens bags with cord locks, but they were all either not well padded, or did not cover the radio fully.
Then I found the Condor Padded GPS Pouch. It is very inexpensive, but seems to be well-padded, water-resistant and well-made. It also is a perfect fit for the radio, even with the Icom case on it. It has double zippers, so it’s possible to close the zippers around the antenna. There’s a smaller pocket with hook-n-loop closure in front, and a hook-n-loop patch area in the front, as well. I think it’s a great value.
