Extension Speaker Help

Does anyone know where i can get one of these that can work with my HT1000?

What connector / connection would i need. Could it be any type of speaker from Motorola ?

Landon, for your HT1000 use a shoulder mic/speaker. If motorola had wanted us to use this speaker with an HT1000 I'm sure we could find them made that way. Maybe they do I don't know.

You need an audio adapter that clips on the radio and provides a standard 1/8" phone plug socket. They're on eBay for around $15-$20. Then you need to cut the plug off the speaker cable, and solder on a 1/8" phone plug.

You may be able to find one at a used 2-way radio/communications store.

Might also check Motorcycle shops and truck stops. They carry many types of speakers and can order more.
