Pro-668: External Speaker

I know that with the PRO-106 if I ran a jumper between the antenna base and the earphone plug it would allow for louder audio. Does the same hold true for the Pro-688? My Pro-688 has been updated by Whistler and is running the latest DSP and Firmware.
