The automated dispatch system now includes a 3 second alternating tone burst before each dispatch. This is the same tone they used for unit transfer announcements.
The system is now dispatching calls using the CAD incident types instead of plain language incident types.
A few of them are as follows:
ACCIF - Accident with injury - Fire
ODF - Overdose - Fire
I don't know if they have abandoned the use of "Box Alarm, Still Alarm, etc." The list of incident types i have is old. Maybe someone out there has a better list.
Also FYI Fairfax City Fire Station 33 is closed due to reconstruction. Medic 433 will run out of Station 403 and Rescue Engine 433 will run out of station 43 (Fairfax City Training Center (Colonial Ave)
