Mentioning in a post is one thing but putting it in the title?
What's the difference? They have the ability to ecrypt full time - if they don't that's their problem. Most people doing illegal things aren't radio savvy anyway. The FBI that morning were using 6 other freqs with E; so don't get your baggies in a pinch.

Playing the recordings back from yesterday, the following FBI freqs (NAC167) were heard:
170.4500 In the clear. In the Brooklyn NY area.
170.6250 E
171.5500 E
172.2875 E
173.5000 E
173.6625 E
173.8125 E

based on my logs and your previous GWB confirmation these were very likely from NY and/or NJ
Playing the recordings back from yesterday, the following FBI freqs (NAC167) were heard:
170.4500 In the clear. In the Brooklyn NY area.
170.6250 E
171.5500 E
172.2875 E
173.5000 E
173.6625 E
173.8125 E

170.4500 In the clear. In the Brooklyn NY area. NYC Field Office H5/H6 (unknown RA)
170.6250 E NYC Field Office C7/C8 (Brooklyn/Queens RA)
171.5500 E NYC Field Office C3/C4 (Brooklyn/Queens RA)
172.2875 E NYC Federal Interop simplex frequency
173.5000 E CBP DNET 036 repeater
173.6625 E NYC Field Office A1/A2 HQ Dispatch at 26 Federal Plaza
173.8125 E NYC Field Office C9 (Brooklyn/Queens RA)

True for the below, yet he heard $167 s that does rule out these two
172.2875 the Federal FIO which uses $653
173.5000 CBP which uses $325 and is the input, not the Repeater for DNET - 36 and 66

173.5000 $167 is down in the So.NJ / Philly area
172.2875 $167 is likely Potter Cnty PA area or C-03 from Newark NJ

keep in mind, frequencies are shared - not exclusive and what is found in one area
is not always the same agency even close-by

Which is why, solid street locations [Geographic] or even a RID helps to narrow down which Field Office
the repeater generally is owned/run by
