This guy tried to kill over 250 people by blowing up a plane in the air, its never going to be known how many would have died on the ground, and how many more would have been injured.
I'm glad the passengers and crew acted and if this idiot would have died at their hands so be it. Its time to stop worrying about the terrorist rights and fight back. Our current administration is more worried about hurting terrorist or offending them than they are about protecting us, its going to catch up.
Anybody else seeing a pattern here, stuff is beginning to happen more frequently, why BECAUSE THEY CAN get us now that we have apologized and let our guard down!

It's not on any feed - the OP didn't hear the FBI responding but posted several hours later. I think he put it here because the plane landed in Detroit even though the incident likely happened over Canada. I wonder if that changes the legal process?
I posted here because I wanted to give as much notice to Detroit area RR members so they could possibly listen in. The original MSNBC breaking news headline did not state date/time when the event occurred. Usually MSNBC is on top of breaking news. It seems strange to me the time delay between incident and media announcement.

I stand by my original statement, and my guard isn't down.
I was referring to the US Gov't, since our President is running around bowing, apologizing and telling our FBI agents and so on, to be nice and make sure every one has their rights. The door is open, and were just waiting for another attack!
Were moving these killers, currently at Gitmo, into the US so the civil courts can throw out their cases because of due process time limits, and so on. Then we'll release these MISUNDERSTOOD folks so they can kill some more Americans. As for your Christian SLIP wake up Dude Your one of the nice folks those misunderstood terrorist are trying to KILL!

Gotcha - I got the breaking news from AP and it stated that the flight happened hours before... Still makes me wonder what the law is on who gets to prosecute if the event occurred while the jet was over Canada?
That's the important thing. So many people think it can't happen here - but just two weeks ago I saw a presentation from the FBI that reported 5 foreign terrorist incidents (dry runs and fact-finding missions) in this state since 2001. All went unreported at first because people thought "it can't happen here."
I'm awake, and I understand their intent. Doesn't mean I'm going to kill them just because.
Thanks for all the private messages supporting a civilized vantage point. I''ll agree to disagree with cfr's sort of beliefs, and be thankful that most of society doesn't side with them. They may on forums, but won't in the real world.

It would have been justified self defense. The terrorist attempted to kill everyone on that plane, and God knows how many death's would have resulted on the ground from the crash!
Would you have the same passive attitude should a home invasion occur and the perp is a threat to you and your family? :roll:
