Not sure where to post this question so here goes. How does one check the FCC databases to find freqs. for certain areas around the U.S. Can someone post a link or website to go to ? I went to the FCC site but obviously didn't find the right place. I'm looking for control channels for locales in Virginia and North Carolina. I apologize if I posted this to the wrong forum. Thanks in advance for all replies.

Give this a try, search by callsign, frequency, state, city, county and lat/lon point or radius.

When you put a link into a post, the RR board software will translate it to the name of the site. If you hold your mouse over it and look at the bottom of your screen you will see the actual link displayed.

Instead of using the FCC search, why not try the RR database where all of the CC's and everything else you need is right there. The FCC data will not give you trunk group info either, just the frequencies.

As for posting to the wrong forum, well there is a database forum but we don't care. The VA group is very friendly. I hope you got enough answers to get you going. Are you aware that some scanner programming software will download and create your systems ready for upload to the scanner?

Thanks

Thanks for the info/link. I'm looking for the control chanells for Carolina Beach,NC which is part of the New Hanover County system. The new P25 system shows only one C.C. in the RR,but others have given me another C.C. to add. Just thought I'd see what the FCC has for this system. Thanks again.
