Lets get this nailed down so we can get it submitted to the database folks!

1 - WRCA355 - City of Huttig. Provide fire fighting and ems operations for Union County.
155.310 FB2. (I've been hearing this with RAN1. Not sure if its Union or not. They mostly use DMR in Union).

2 - WRDK782 - FIRE DEPARTMENT Smackover AR Union County.
155.580 FB2.

3 - KUU320 - UNION COUNTY RADIOS USED FOR OFFICIAL COUNTY GOVERNMENT ACTIVITIES.
155.475 FB2.

4 - WREJ423 - LITTLE RIVER COUNTY WIDE SHERIFFS OFFICE AND OFFICE OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT OPERATIONS.
This license has pending applications: 0089924551
Original application was for 155.3175 (Nevada SO NXDN frequency. I heard LRSO doing radio checks on this frequency with a CC7 a while back but its been silent since so I decided to recheck. The NEW application is to change to 151.4675 FB2. As of now I've heard nothing but I just put it in my radio last night. Also in the same license is 154.310 FB2.

Let's see if we can get these nailed down. I have more frequencies I have to dig up and I will post them tomorrow or the next day.

155.475 FB2. Interesting they are wanting a repeater on this freq... This is the original Nationwide Law Enforcement Mutual Aid frequency. Formerly called NLEEC (Nationwide Law Enforcement Emergency Calling) Now officially called:
155.47500BMVLAW31VLAW31 - Law EnforcementFMNInterop
Standard tones used were 136.7 PL, and 156.7 PL Back in the old days it was usually standard in all VHF LE Codeplugs, in the top ten freqs.

I wonder if that’s what they use it for? I’ve never heard a peep out of it.

It would rarely see use, but was and still is an SHTF ch. Some agencies used it like an secondary talkaround, or tactical ch. I will look though a couple of codeplugs I have for Southwest/South Central AR and see if I can find it in them.

In all of the listings I can find its just listed as VLAW31 and has TX 136.5 PL, RX 156.7 PL... SO reverse that for repeaters unless they specifically set up something different for Union Co.

Awesome! Thank you. I’ll keep it programmed and remove the digital only designation I gave it.

I would put it CSQ, or even with a Tone Search for both analog and digital in case they do have an digital ch for it. Some agencies do strange things currently with the new digital toys they have lol. They could have an analog set up for interop, and have it NXDN or DMR for special local ops.

Many times, 155.475 is used as a "chit-chat" channel for officers between agencies, especially late at night. Also if there is a multi-agency event, such as the funeral convoy for a fallen officer, you will hear traffic on this frequency. Most definitely you should keep 155.475 in your scanner (I keep mine set as 'tone search') and monitor it.

Thank you. I will take it out of the Union County folder and put it in the state wide folder of my radio.

Another nice thing about VLAW31 (155.475) is that it is never encrypted. It can't be, since it may be used by very disparate agencies. For example, if Nebraska State Patrol trooper pursues a vehicle into Kansas, and he needs to communicate with county sheriff's deputies in Kansas, they're likely to use VLAW31 since it is very unlikely that they would have compatible radio systems.

So during times of severe weather it may be a good Idea to keep it programmed...

That is exactly what I'm doing. I live in Hempstead County. I have everything AWIN with all surrounding towers. Hempstead, Howard, Sevier, Little River, Nevada, Union, Lafayette and Columbia conventional in Arkansas. (Miller conventional is useless). Texas DPS, Bowie, GATRRS Bowie/Texarkana, Red River, Lamar and Delta Texas conventional. McCurtain OK and OK state police conventional. Caddo and Bossier LA conventional. I MIGHT try to put in the trunk system there but not sure IF I can grab it from here in Hope. If you think I'm missing anything let me know. Thank you for all your replies. Much appreciated!

And also now VLAW32 as the new narrowband twin for that freq is getting use in several areas.... In AR the big dogs to have in your SHTF listing: VHF National Interoperability , UHF National Interoperability , For all users of AWIN - 700 MHz National Interoperability, 800 MHz National Mutual Aid .....
I do not have the exact listing on the 700 MHz as to what is in the newest codeplugs for use in which regions and statewide.
Also load :VHF Public Safety Mutual Aid Common All found here - National Interoperability Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference

Good luck on LWIN, and all that for Bossier/Caddo unless there is a band opening. For Miller County AR, about the only thing still conventional usable is Fire stuff, excluding Texarkana which is PURE P25.... If your close to Texarkana, load both the AWIN and GATRRS sites as it appears they use both? (Have not received any 100% word on that, and did not have enough monitoring time on my last trip through.

Thank you! I have all these on my SDS100 in a separate list. They are not on my BCD996P2 though. I’ll add them.

I’ll skip LWIN. I’ll look at the conventional Miller fire frequencies and plug them in. Both GATRRS and AWIN are used in Texarkana. I’m 30 miles away. I hear them on both systems from home. If you’re in the severe threat for Friday be safe.

I am in a 2-4 inches of rain expect flooding area for now thru Sunday. Possibly bit of wintry mix Sunday extremely early. All the "fun" stuff for spotters and chasers is down your way from TX through AL, and further north from me up in MI thru NY... Big Supercells and tornadoes down south... Flooding and ice/snow nasty up north. ALL I am doing this weekend is monitoring radios and reporting flooding if I see it. Hell even Reed Timmer is chasing from DFW over to ARKLAMISS on the I-20 run.... Ricco Marsh is also heading to NW LA to get in on this.

Be safe! I thought you were down here with us. Lol! Yeah it’s gonna get interesting tomorrow. I’ll be listening from here. All the big chasers are here or on their way. I need to enable my skywarn/chasers bank tomorrow as it starts.
