In this Notice of Proposed Rulemaking, we seek to unlock the full potential of broadband
in the 896–901/935–940 MHz band (900 MHz band) by proposing a framework that will enable increased
broadband deployment on all ten megahertz of the band’s spectrum while also maintaining the option of
narrowband operations to meet the needs of incumbents in the band.

there was another thread talking about what name Harris used to be. The list got rather extensive. Same thing with /Nextel/Fleetcall/PDV/Anterix

I wonder if they will abandon this equipment also? Most of the Nextel sites got properly decommissioned, but some were just left to rot. Same with the 900 Qunatars they set up to keep hold of those licenses. And a lot of the old LTR systems they bought and forgot about. I wonder how much my 3 channel LTR system I salvaged from a shelter that was about to be demolished is worth? Maybe take it to C&D Scrap and get paid in $2 bills.

One such site was having an ASTRO 25 subsite built in the same shelter. County reached out to Sprint, who basically said "Yeah we don't care what you do with any of it...reuse it, scrap it, whatever...no longer our concern." I do believe some of the hardline was reused for UHF fireground receivers. 🤷🏼‍♂️
