Ok, for my latest dilema..... I have been reading the forums on here and wanted to monitor federal frequencies. So I am looking on the home patrol 1 and I really dont see any federal frequencies in the folders. I do have all services selected, but still no luck. Are there any federal frequencies programmed into the delaware database? I also checked the online database and did not notice any.

As always thanks in advance.

You can go onto database then instead on clicking on the state, click up top tab nationwide or national. Then scroll down to federal.

Also depending on where you are federal frequencies can be listed in the county or counties surrounding you, usually in the scroll menu on the right next to the county map.

Using the nationwide list in the HP1 will yield some regional activity such as ATF/DEA/USSS/ICE/FBI on the nationally organized channels which are quite active.

Searching the 162-165 / 167-174 / 416-419.5 ranges will yield many more local assignments. Use the search and record function for a few weeks. Compare hits and recorded NAC/PL to the wiki fed pages and you will have a good list in no time.

Don't be discouraged by all of the encrypted traffic, there is enough P25 clear traffic to keep it interesting.

And post back what you find [Freq/Tone/Nac - type of traffic]

But search the entire 162-174 band, lots of stuff in 166
as well as the entire 400-420 band, altho many of the agencies are moving [it's still a work in progress]
to 406-410 being Repeaters and 415-420 being inputs and 411-414 being simplex, You will find all sort of good stuff

First, thank you to all who responded..... Dave as usual you are going to have to help this poor dumb son of a b.... When I set wilmington as my location it says it is d/l nation db, but I cannot hear any of the LE you are talking about above, do I have something set wrong again?

As for searching the bands, is it correct that is not possible with Home Patrol or am I again missing something?

Again, thank you all for helping!

On your Home Patrol, go to "Select Service Types" press the "Federal" button.

To search, got to "Advanced Menu", "Advanced Option", "Discovery Mode", "Conventional Discovery Mode", "Create New Settings", Name your search, such as Fed VHF, "Set Limit Frequencies", 162.000, "Accept", 174, "Accept"
This may only apply if you have purchased the extreme upgrade feature, I'm not sure if it is available without the extreme upgrade purchase.

Thanks for the reply.... Yeah, I already had selected "Federal" on the services, and still nothing good...

As for the rest, you are correct that is an "Extreme" feature, which I have not gotten around to yet, but hope to soon.

Thanks for the help!!
