Here's what I worked out for some of those channel names:

EGWW = Edith Green/Wendel Wyatt Federal Building (I would guess the "Gar" to be Guards)
E-WA = the only thing I could come up with was East Washington, again I would guess the "Gd" to be Guard.
FL Ward 1 = no idea
JunoFBks1 = Juno-Fairbanks Ch 1?
ODS Ptnd = ODS Tower, Portland? I'm not too sure about this, but its the only thing google could find that fit.
SpokaneFB = Spokane Federal Building
TacomaSSA = Tacoma Social Security Administration

Your guesses are about what I came up with, Skipshark. Thanks for checking.

Another thing to think about. Most of the "Sam" units will be going away as FPS evolves from a police patrol-based LE system to an Inspections-driven system. Most of the FPOs are now graded as Inspectors, thus able to do other tasks such as security assessments, working with physical security devices (X-ray machines, etc), risk management and other non-traditional police things. They'll still be uniformed, and drive marked vehicles, but expect to hear most of the "Sam" units revert to "Paul" units.

Interesting, so will they be reverting back to the "fixed post" method?

Here, there and everywhere in WV
PO's

About 85% accurate, FPS will still retain alot of 0083's Police Officers until they retire; who had no desire to be come an inspectors. Usually this is in the bigger cities DC, NY, LA and so forth. Alot of new inspectors have been hired off the street and from different federal agencies for the new FPS inspector based force. If you mean post work as in static post work the answer is no. Inspectors are assigned to regions like police officers are 100 % mobile.

Rumor had it that the HIGH sites [Wide Area] were using $295 and
a local area [Building Specific] might use $294 or $293 so as to not
drive the "Mega-Center" crazy

Also got $295 when I was in Hartford today. Sounded like they were doing some radio tests, one unit gave his location as JFK (I'm going to assume he meant JFK airport (Edit: I'm wrong)). If that's the case, $295 must be the regional/wide area NAC.

Or more likely - JFK is the JFK Federal Bldg in Boston as TSA would handle JFK Airport. :)

I had a feeling you would have a better answer. Makes sense since NY is a different region. I never knew there was a JFK Federal Building.

Houston, Tx FPS is now digital

Today, the Houston FPS division switched from analog (415.200, pl 103.5) to P-25 digital. The new frequency (repeater) to Denver is 410.800, NAC 201. I also heard some brief encrypted P-25 comms earlier this week on 415.200 but was unable to get the NAC.

For San Antonio the update should be:

410.8000 NAC 201 FPS

I imagine the 407.1750 was an a misnomer. It is used by the military's Smartzone system there on the VA Site. NAC 293.

I plugged this in today, on advice from a Dallas listener, who reported that Dallas FPS is using the same freq and NAC.

Good stuff, I'm starting to see a pattern here...

So far its:

410.800 NAC 201 Houston, San Antonio

and maybe Dallas?

Keep listening, it sounds like changes are afoot in the Greater Southwest region.

Be sure to add to Region 2 the following information:
417.200R P25 is the Federal Protective Service for the Federal Building in Syracuse, NY.
Sorry I didn't get the NAC - the 250D doesn't do them to the best of my knowledge.

Definitely Dallas- they reported its use first in the Texas forum before I knew to plug it in in San Antonio. I'm assuming since this switch to P25 in Texas is happening rather quickly (that I can tell), that all these radios were probably programmed the same. I heard one officer tell another he went to "channel 2" (from 410.8000). I'm wondering if this could be a completely different freq or the same freq and different NAC (I assume it could be either- but if anyone, especially in Texas or Reg7, has heard them switch from 410.8000 NAC 201 to a different freq or NAC do tell)?

Keep an ear on the input NAC.

I've seen radios [New England] where
NAC-1 is the Wide-Area
NAC-2 is xyz Bldg or City Specific
NAC-3 is xyy Bldg or City2 Specific.

All with the Same Output NAC, but Different input NAC's.

Similar to what CBP has done to prevent the ole' Net-25 nationwide key-up from a hi-bird. Common output NAC, but different input NAC's

Great, thanks for your help!

I had a couple other frequencies listed for use in the DFW area.

415.200 CSQ Dallas/Ft. Worth Dispatch (old, replaced by 410.800)
417.650 CSQ Dallas/Ft. Worth
419.150 CSQ Dallas Tactical
419.650 CSQ Ft. Worth Tactical

Obviously, 415.200 isn't being used anymore. Please let me know if you turn up any traffic on these other frequencies.

Thanks for all your help, you guys rock! Keep the updates coming, hopefully someone else from Region 7 in OK, or AR can chime in and let us know if they've switched to P-25 too!
