Phoenix, AZ 409.4000 (input supposedly 418.4000) with a NAC of 920. Very little traffic, mostly going in service, or giving the street address they're enroute to. Boring...lol

Internal & Mega-Center traffic on 408.200, P25 digital. Unit call signs 5-George-30-* (where * is a letter designating the specific unit). Unit 30-Alpha is the security office.
(Sorry, my scanner doesn't do NAC's...)

Radio activity is sparse, however. I really haven't heard much since they arrived at the location, except maybe one portable radio check.

I saw a truck that read POLICE Federal Protection Service on the side of the Federal Court House. Then moments later two sheriffs cars past with lights and siren on and station them selfs under the expressway to block traffic off traffic must be someone important. How do I receive this frequencies?

I could be wrong and it's possible that is the VA center, Bill.

I've heard several "George" units on that frequency. My error if I mis-IDed and it really is the VA. Thanks for pointing that out. Don't add it to the wiki yet until I can confirm it.

And you were 100% correct Bill and I was completely wrong! This is the VA hospital. I verified it yesterday. Thanks for the correction and sorry for misleading everyone about this. My error entirely!

Jim, it was mentioned in the past as Des Moines VA
could it be them, as this is a common VA Hosp Freq
or have you heard the MegaCenter on this one. ??

FPS Portland, OR on 408.200 (NAC 107) now appears to running encryption of some flavor. They used to be in the clear, not sure when the change was made.

November of 2012 is when they went full time on the encryption on the FPS repeaters in Oregon.

The Repeater ? or the input.
Most of FPS have long moved to the proper UHF Band Plan of

406.1-420 MHz

NTIA Manual Chapter 4 Section 4.3.9
Government land mobile channels are normally on 12.5 kHz steps (406.1125, 406.125, 406.1375 ...) in NFM, P25, or other digital voice modes.
Standard +9.0 MHz offset.
The manual contains a table of all channel pairs.
406.1125-410.9875 Base/repeater output
411.0000-415.1000 Unpaired single frequency systems
415.1125-419.9875 Mobile/repeater input

There are a few exceptions to the 9 Mhz off-set and those are only available based on Interference received or generated and are going to be Rare

Tampa Florida location - 418.2000, N744 Federal Protective Service
