Interesting that the schedule (at least thru August) includes weekends and at least one holiday. Particularly Memorial Day weekend when there are at least three different law enforcement programs running, but maybe DCSO is not participating in those. I wonder if Nextel is going to pay for any overtime costs for those who don't work weekends. BTW the schedule goes around the clock to accomodate all shifts.

Are the three contractors also doing the Kenwood DTR radios?

A friendly reminder. The world of Colorado does not revolve around DTRS.

Westminster EDACS has a 2nd CC on 866.0625. Nope no activity on it and if one is not paying attention the scanner will lock on to this and one might think the system is down instead of locking on to the proper CC for the current system.

This new CC looks like it may be either part of a temporary transition system or the repeater will end up being retuned to the 851 range for the new system.

It happened sometime yesterday afternoon. I usually have the Westy system on at work for catching the intersystem stuff (CLEER, Metro Net etc). Worked normally yesterday morning. I headed into westy after work and thought things were way too quiet. Stepped through the system freqs and sure enough there were 2 CC's.

The current/old system is only using LCN 4-10. You may want to lock out LCN 1-3 to keep from having the scanner lock on to the new system CC's which do nothing for TG tracking at this time.

Thanks again for that info, I did hear some radio testing on the Westy system just alittle afternoon. I would'nt be surprised if the Lakewood system is next. Just have to listen to those radio testers.

If they are rebanding anyway, why? Their current CC falls within the "new" band plan, right?

So, what is the purpose of the new CC? CC's seems to be getting "wierd". Last night Denver's PS system was on CC-22, what is that all about? Never seen that, maybe on 1-4, but never 22. Maybe I dont listen enough? I have seen a lot more CC (edacs) pop up in the last few weeks. It could be also that I haven't tried to identify who it is.

I'm sure that there will be a whole lotta new freqs to find, why would that be a problem? Stick around, I think it is going to get ugly!

Uh no.

So, what is the purpose of the new CC?

Temporary transistion system or setting it up now to be retuned to the newer freqs. All we can do is observe at this point.

Bottom line guys. Everything currently in 866.0125 to 868.9875 is being moved down to 851.0125 to 853.9875. And no guarantees that the shift will be exactly 15 MHz down from everybody's current freqs.

Welcome to the new challenge. This is gonna be real fun!

I just manually went thru Arvada/Westy and i'm not hearing that 2nd CC, everythings stills seems to LCN 4-10 and quite on 1-3. I'm sure they can pop that 2 CC back in.

May have been down. I just checked it at 23:00 this evening and it's working fine now.

LCN3 is back in operation for Westy's primary system again.

Still not sure what the techs were up to with a secondary controller a few weeks ago.
