From my old friend Harold Sellers on the World of Radio mailing list - as usual, all transcription errors are entirely mine...
===================
Back in the late 1980s and early 1990s several members of the Fine Tuning group of DXers compiled collections of articles, written by DX experts, and published them in a series of books, known as “Proceedings”. There were articles on receivers, antennas, propagation, peripheral equipment and other topics.
These books have been difficult to obtain. DXers tend to keep them in their libraries.
Now these articles are available as PDF documents, freely downlaodable from the Ontario DX Association IO Group. Look under Files. The articles are grouped into five folders: Receivers, Antennas, Propagation, Peripheral Equipment and Features.
Spread the word, so others can benefit from the knowledge and expertise of the writers of these excellent articles.
===================
I would caution a bit that these articles are generally not light reading. They're usually quite comprehensive and somewhat technical in nature. They are, however, a very valuable resource for information and are well written. Mike
