hello when fire fighters are on scene ,and there talking on there radios what ranges do you want to scan to hear them. for ncc, also do you have to be within a couple of miles to hear them or can they reach further. i would like to hear the actual fire fighters as they talk. thanks for any help. i never tried to listen to them before so im trying something diffrent. thanks for youre help

Delaware fire is on the 800mhz digital trunking network. The fire channels are typically only on the towers in the county that they cover, so you can listen to a Claymont fire from Smyrna but not Lewes.

If you don't have a scanner capable of monitoring the trunking network, you can use the database to find a repeater from a local fire station.
