Fires, Power Lines Down, Trees Down - Berkeley & Jefferson Co

Numerous fires, power lines and trees down. Jefferson Co. has been having Washington Co MD, Loudoun Co. VA and Berkeley Co. WV assist. Berkeley Co has had Jefferson Co. assist them as well.

Monitor all common EMS/Fire freqs, MED channels, DoH, and LE.

Jefferson Co. just dispatched for a house that had part of a roof blow off. It was initially dispatched as a structure collapse.

Berkeley Co. has an overturned semi on I81. EOM1 keeps coming up on Sheriff's Office TG and a TAC channel inquiring about a HAZMAT crew for this wreck.

I tuned in on Allegheny Power when I got home and the power was off. They were doing an outstanding job clearing up the problems. The breakers were reset then on to the next site. Some wire work was necessary. There was a lot of work up on the mountain off Rt 9 east of Charles Town. I like their automated phone system to report power outages. It even automatically calls your number back when the power is restored.

Allegheny Power was not taking phone calls last night, Berkeley Co. had to fax in the requests. I guess they had that many to handle.
