I have Firmware 1.08.01 in my BCD996P2. Is there any benefit to upgrade to the latest? (1.10.02) (I believe)?
There is a saying "If it isn't broke, don't fix it"! My BCD996P2 seems to work just find, no issues. If a firmware
upgrade would be beneficial; in what way would that be? Thanks, in advice for your time and responses...

I missed the part with the function key for 4 seconds.....:ROFLMAO:. Thanks for the help.

This new scanner is going back in the box and being returned to the vendor. I think I've tried just about everything to get this unit to work on phase II systems with zero success.

Yep, me too. I have several of these and they've been working flawlessly for me. My home location is good in the way of the local simulcast systems, the 996P2 works flawlessly with zero distortion with the exception of the new one I just received. I am in need of another 996P2. Hopefully the next one will work.

Do you ever monitor a digital system with frequencies between 171 and 174 MHz? Or do you ever plan to? If so the new firmware would be a good idea.

Thanks for that. No plans on that now or in the future to my knowledge. Much appreciated...
