Anyone experiencing erratic choppy performance viewing their BCD996XT in virtual mode on the PC? I've tried a baud rate of 115200, and also 57600, no difference.

It's happening with ARC-XT, and ProScan, so I don't think it's the software. Everything checks out on the RS232 port, and the PC.

I live in Minnesota and am looking at upgrading from the bc396 to the bcd996xt. With the BCD996xt are you able to program more than one P25 trunked system in the same bank? Where as if you try to do that with the BC396, it finds one control frequency and sticks to it. Does not scan the other ones.

Neither the bc396(BCD396T) nor the BCD996XT use banks. Each P25 system should be a separate system in either scanner. There is no reason to try to put two of them together that I can think of.
