This should not be something that scares Phil or anyone else in the area... You guys should realize that minor flooding occurs quite often and is not something you need to scream "warning warning" for.

Long time ago I was at a buddys house and this toad strangler hit whilst I was there. On my way home, there was several low water areas that I forded okay.

Finally I get to this creek where three huge culverts where laid in the creek bed and the road was paved over the top of them. The water was running over the top of the road and it was not too fast and it was not too deep. So after looking at it for a bit, I decided to give it a go. It was kinda tricky since the "bridge" was fairly long it was very dark. I used the low water markers as guides. I made it okay.

I do not know if it was happening as I was driving over the bridge or if it happened later that night, but the down stream half of the roadway (the side I was driving on) ended up being eroded away by the water. It was quite a shocker to see in the light of day.

Something that I will never do again. :)

Who got scared? Certainly not me, and certainly not Phil. What YOU should realize is that:

A: I put "not for rdale" in the title of my post for a reason. Namely, to curtail comments like this from you. I also put the smiley face on there because I wasn't being hateful or anything.

B: I get the feeling that several of us around here neither need nor want your comments on every single weather post on this forum. Heck, I see your comments everywhere! Any website on the internet that even has the words storm, rain, chasing, or spotting seems to have an "rdale" registered on the forum. I've never seen anyone so ate up with the job as you. Take a break from it. Better yet, give ALL OF US a break from it. Please?

C: Who was screaming? Have you ever seen Bird Creek? Do you even know where it is? How in the world would you know that the NWS in Tulsa doesn't need to issue a flood warning on it?

D: Stick to your TV world up north and your ratings. You are NOT God's gift to meteorology or forecasting. I've met college kids straight out of O.U. in Norman that can forecast better than you. I don't care if your forecasts for our area are right or wrong. Be humble about it if someone else here that was trying wasn't dead on. Here's a shocker: I don't read your forecasts and neither do a lot of others around here. I've asked.

MODS: I don't intend this as a flame, but the know-it-all rub it in your face arrogance of this character has not set to well with several of us "Okies". Enough is enough. I don't want to be hateful to the guy but I think he needs to know where I'm coming from as well.

Hopefully, some of the other folks that have voiced opinions of the like will chime in.

A) If you don't want me to comment, don't put my name in it

B) I appreciate the lengths you go to in order to hunt down info on me, but at what point do you realize you're sick? Some even use a picture of me as their avatar - that is wrong on so many levels...

C) Not saying they didn't need to issue a warning, but you wouldn't have posted it in the Breaking News forum if you didn't think it was a big deal with a serious impact on the area. I'm saying it's not.

D) Never said I was His gift. But I am one of the best, and I'm not sure how you met college kids or how you determined they are better than me. If you admit you don't read my forecasts - how would you know? The only OK forecast thread I participated in lately is one where a big event was indicated for the west half of the state. Mac said he thought the east half (Tulsa area) would get big storms, and I pointed out reasons I felt otherwise. He accused me of lying, my forecast was correct, and the thread was closed by a mod who felt personal attacks were unwarranted.

The 'know-it-all-rub-it-in-your-face' comes because of your attitude. I've got plenty of PM's from people thanking me for adding real info to the weather section. Had you not 'taunted' with your title I would have ignored this thread. It's no big skin off my day to take 30 seconds and address your attacks. And you'll notice that I've never insulted anyone, made fun of them, investigated them, or made any personal comments towards them.

No, Don't hold back Squirrel. I feel this way as well. Rob you can have your stupid little avatar pic back. The whole point of that was to get your attention and make you go to mods because we who have delt with you in the past know you are a coward and you like to irritate people on RR. Was it too hard for you to PM me and ask me yourself to remove the pic. No, in typical Rob Dale Cowardly fashion he goes to the Avatar police AKA the mods and I get warned to remove the pic. I told you last year this time and I'm telling you again. Your comments and opionions are not welcome in Oklahoma. Why don't you keep your snout in Michigan and worry about your own state. We have plenty of or meteorologists who do just fine forecasting our weather and I'm glad they don't have an ego like you. Please Rob just go away.

I'm not going to let a few jealous posters diminish the quality of this forum. Why in the world would I PM you privately to tell you your stalking is sick? That's what the moderators are for - keeping people like you in check.

I second the motion, do I have a third?

I've come across Rdale's stupid and unnecessary remarks many times on RR. People are here to learn and have a good time with people that have similar interests. You're just another one of those guys that has to chime in on everything because you think you know it all, your comments are not limited to weather related posts you bable about everything! Almost everything you post has a negative vibe, and a whole lot of people are sick of your crap. Lose the ego and the smart remarks and maybe people will actually listen to what you have to say. We don't give a damn what you think is important and what is not, you don't live here, you don't know us and their are plenty of qualified people that do the same thing you do every day, and they live right here in Oklahoma with us. There are many people like you, that join forums just because they enjoy confrentation, your a jerk, you know it, and everyone else knows it. LEAVE US ALONE!

That's the thing - I don't chime in on everything...

Want to discuss lowband reception? I'm not there. The latest revolution in digital ham radio usage? I'm quiet. But I do know weather. And scanning. And I will chime in on those, regardless of the forum posted in, and regardless of the threats of people like you. Those who are here to learn get MUCH more from a post of mine than any of this crap.

Much better avatar. That one won't get you in legal trouble!

And yes I am a storm chaser. Sorry to burst your bubble - you thought you caught me outside my area of expertise!

In reference to your A), I was merely trying to hint that this was not a post you needed to throw your $.02 in on. Of course, I should have known better huh?

In reference to B), I "hunted" you down? We happen to be on a lot of the same weather related forums. Don't flatter yourself Rob. Also you say at the end of your post that you haven't insulted anyone or made any personal comments, yet you think that I have "hunted" you and you call me sick? You might want to rethink your statements man.

YOU think you are one of the best. WE certainly don't. Remember that humble thing I was telling you about?

Get your ego in check Rob. We've talked on other forums and you don't even realize it. You exhibited the same attitude there too. It's sad. All that I'm trying to say here is relax, leave your ego at the door to the Oklahoma forum and maybe you wouldn't catch so much flak. You are the subject of more than one online joke that I've seen. I'm just telling you what I've seen man.

Well whatever....these forums are great and I for one, would rather you just mind your own business. No idea how I met college kids huh? There's a lot of college educated people around here. Maybe that's not the case with the circle of people that you run with? :)

A) Understood. I think a better way of doing it would be to not put my name in the subject. Consider it a lesson learned.

B) What I'm saying is you made this personal. People are posting my bio and using my picture as their avatar. Rethinking my statement - I still think that's sick.

C) YOU don't know meteorology. There's a reason I am invited to speak to meteorologists (and college students) across the country. So either I've pulled the wool over the people running the conferences and flying me to their gatherings, or your assessment of my abilities is incorrect.

D) I know I'm good. I don't come here and belittle people or make personal attacks. One guy was worried that the tornado in Denver would hit him in Chicago. I pointed out that it wasn't the same storm, while another called him a moron. My bad for being polite.

Still note that through all of this - no personal attack from me. I don't go hunting down posts you made just to throw my negative two cents onboard...

If you're worried about the pic being seen by anyone, perhaps you need to have WLNS.com remove it. I mean you are a 'public' figure.

I have no worries about it being seen. Just don't want it associated with people who post stuff like they do...

Wow, I'm sorry man, I didn't know, but you're also an expert at running your mouth, is that how you justify the need to chime in on every post. What the heck is an "expert" storm chaser anyways, most people that storm chase wouldn't put the word expert in front of it, but they are not conceded. "Expert Storm Chaser" AKA WACKER!

I don't chime in on every post. Take a look at all the threads in Oklahoma, and see how many have me in them. I think you'd be surprised. I think you're just jumping on the Phil & Peter bandwagon as opposed to thinking for yourself.

I did not put "EXPERT STORM CHASER" anywhere on any forum in any part of this world. If you're going to throw out a personal attack on me, at least have some backing...

If storm chasing is your "area of expertise" that would make you an "expert" So you did claim to be an expert, but worded it differently.
