FMC Devens has gone quiet on my radios. I don't see any sign that they encrypted in the DB?

When is the last time you heard them? Do you have all the frequencies programmed in in case the CC changed? What scanner are you using?

Yes entire range with current CC. It kind of snuck up on me as traffic was limited to begin with. Likely over a month or so was last time.

I've tried with 4 scanners, updating from the RRDB: HP-2, BCD325P2, SDS100, SDS200.

Search the band and see if they've changed frequencies, don't stick with the listed CC check all of them, are you seeing the E on the SDS display?

All freqs are - just meant that the listed CC is there as well as the rest of them. No E... doesn't stop on the system.

Then I would do a search for new frequencies, if they were E it would stop for a half second and E would flash indicating it was unable to play audio.

Other than that I don't know, maybe someone with DSD+ FL in the area will check it out and let us know.

Don't know what else to look at! Bmacs what are you using to receive? Downloaded from DB, so setup should be correct.

I forgot if the download from the DB includes the custom band-plan. It may not.

I believe it's 406.8125 with 12.5 KHz spacing and 380 KHz offset, which you'll have to enter into your scanner manually.

I'm using Unitrunker with an Airspy R2... I'll try my SDS200, but Mike may be correct that the RRDB is incorrect.

According to the database that is a Phase 2 system and the TGs are marked T for TDMA, Unitrunker will not decode voice on a Phase 2 system.

I've never heard a P2 transmission on that site - it's all digital P1...

In fact - the database is completely INCORRECT. It is a Moto Type II with digital voice.

It was submitted incorrectly a while back, and/or an error was made.

No need to yell. It's been updated. I don't ever get up there to verify.

In the future, if you see a mistake in the DB, instead of yelling on the forums, just submit the correction.

Thank you for making the corrections so quickly. Not being in the area it is impossible for me to verify or monitor so I appreciate all the work you guys put in to keep the system updated.

Thanks for the updates to the system, please keep in mind that on the FBOP Type II systems around the country the CC changes at least daily, so make sure you have all the frequencies programmed in.

Hi Mike,

I apologize if you think I was yelling (specifically at you!)- I certainly was not. I really have no skin in this game - someone posted that they were having a problem receiving the system, and I took 10 minutes out of my time to let them know the system was still operating as usual. It's a system I NEVER monitor, which is why I said I have no skin in this...

The whole RR community appreciates all you do (as does the SNE community) - so PLEASE don't think anyone was questioning the administration of the database - you can't possibly verify EVERY entry and no one expects you to.

I'll submit an update as soon as I figure out HOW to receive this system on my SDS radios - I seem to be missing a setting. Unitrunker decodes it fine, but my SDS will lock onto the control channel (and identify the system) but not report traffic.

Again, apologies if my statement offended you - it certainly was not my intent.

Take Care,

BIll
