Hi there sorry if this has been asked elsewhere but I live in the sticks with only a few interesting digital frequencies which I am scanning (albeit fairly slowly but good enough) with DSDPlus (FMPP) (SDRPlay RSP1A) successfully. However, even though I have put DELAY=5 in the scanlist, the scanner moves to another frequency immediately after the speech ends. I have enclosed a screenshot. Is my syntax wrong or is it just something I will have to put up with? Thanks.

Some FMP24 settings are not available in FMPP.

Read the NOTES.TXT file and you will see that is a FMP24 setting added in FMP24 v2.11...

New FMP24.ScanList file options:
"DELAY=<num>" can be used to specify a "wait for a reply" delay period. Units are seconds.

Ah right that figures Dave, thanks. I am trying every alphabeical/numerical permutation in the world but to no avail as yet. I have never really been au fait with the whole dos command line thing but I wondered if I was missing something really simple. Thing is, the scanner is working a treat with the few freqs I have to work with so it's just a bit frustrating that it jumps off frequency as soon as someone stops talking so I have to keep pressing esc. and then starting scan again.....

This issue has made me deeply disappointed.
I used FMP24 with RTL-SDR, with a voice delay, and it worked perfectly.

I bought an SDRPlay, expecting to enjoy the same functionality, but I found the FMPP scanning to be really bad.

Now, I’m looking for software to scan known frequencies that actually works well, because so far, I haven’t found one that meets my expectations.

I actually ended up buying an RTL-SDR and using FMP24 with the scanner function which indeed works perfectly. It's a shame that FMPP doesn't have the same functionality for the SDRPlay but that seems to be where we are.

Please write to the developers of DSD Plus, if you wish. I wrote to them asking about aligning the lacking features of FMPP and FMPA with the full featured FMP24 (ppm adjustment, normal scan, squelch, AM, etc...). They answered that they will try to do so when they have time (not exact quote).

I'll do that!
I'll message you privately to get more details.
I appreciate the suggestion.
