I'm wondering this too, I found the frequencies yesterday and can't seem to find a more recent source with the PLs.

PL input's vary by repeater. These are the ones that I know about, but I am sure that there are others:

82.5 Montclair (Essex County)
88.5 Waterford (Camden County)
94.8 Baker's Basin (Mercer County)
107.2 Toms River (Ocean County)
110.9 Salem County & Mt. Kipp (Hunterdon County)
131.8 Hill 1606 (Sussex County)
192.8 Belle Mountain (Mercer County)

I put the PL of 131.8 in my 250D with DEP frequencies and PL 179.9 and
only heard Comms with the 179.9 PL. I live in South East Sussex County.

Division A (Channel 7) input is 159.240 Pl 179.9

Division B (Channel 8) input is 159.270 PL 179.9

Division C (Channel 9) input is 159.405 PL 179.9

All outputs are also PL 179.9

Division C has a small "fill in" repeater at Bayside State Prison on the same freq pair, but with an input PL of 131.8/output 179.9.

Like John B said, the input PL's vary by repeater. Regarding the FF Service, the input PL's are 179.9 for the main repeaters for the Divisions, but from what I understand now, there are "fill in" repeaters, like mentioned earlier. I don't know what the PL inputs are on these but have heard Division A (North) say on the radio: Ch 7 North, Ch. 7 South. I hear them on my radio fine with a PL input/output of 179.9 Hz. Channels 1 (DEP Main) and 3 (Fish/Wildlife) uses the different tones for the section they can hit the best with their radios. So, in the event of SE Sussex Co., you would hear the mobie side like this: 159.3450 PL 131.8 and repeater (both sides) as 151.3250 PL 179.9. Unless your interested in finding out how close the unit is or for radio programming, there is no need for the PL codes by repeater. They all output 179.9 Hz. As mentioned earlier, the "A" channels (Fireground) output 82.5 Hz. This way, they by-pass the repeater and make it a talk-around while minimizing the need for additional channels.

Now the mystery is what is the DEP frequency 159.4350 used for? My guess was that it was an old DEP Marine PD Channel, but have not confirmed it.

Yes, look at the channel labels. 159.375 Forest Fire 6. Main channel for all ops. You will hear Lakewood Tower calling Cedar Bridge Tower to look at a smoke siting coming up to try to get a site triangulation on a fire. You will hear the Towers call a "B" unit to tell they have smoke coming.

ie ,"B-7 Lakewood", "B-&7", "I have smoke at 120 degrees, looks like Fischers Pit. My winds are out of the east at 10 MPH."

6 is the main channel. Section-7 "B" Division will use chanel 6 mainly and will use 8A at time for ops or to talk to the tower to get times and crew member info.

Here is the link to Section 10 "B" Division.
http://www.sectionb10.org/

The state is broken up into 3 sections, A + B + C.

There are a lot of other links on there to for a few of the other divisions. Hope this will steer you into the right direction.

Back in the 70's and maybe 80's, before the state police took over the marine police, they were operating on 155.445 (179.9)

What is interesting is that the NJSP still holds a valid license for that freq. and was recently renewed.

GM,

If it helps, 159.435 is used as a repeater output by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation for forest fire control and spill response. Their PL is 94.8 Hz.

The old DEP Marine Police operated on 159.30. I use to listen to them at
Lake Hopatcong. 155.445 was the new frequency for Marine Police when
the NJSP first took them over from the DEP.
