Hello,

I'm just getting back into VHF and have a question re. Fort Drum radio system. Are they ENC and if not, I believe I can hear them on 381.625 which appears to be one of the control channels. I'm located in Kingston ONT. Do use they Jefferson system or are they tied in some how ?

Police and Fire are encrypted on the Fort Drum system, only Range Control, Range Maintenance, and DPW are in the clear. They also operated on P25 Phase2

You would not hear them on a control channel unless it’s not the active one, and is being used as a voice channel. 2 out of the 5 known tg’s are enc.
