It looks like Fort Sill P25 system is changing.
I found a "new" system this morning and didn't know where it was coming from. Details are here:
The new site 5-5 has the same frequencies as current/old site 1-1 Bald Ridge but different WACN, SID and NAC.
I didn't see any traffic on it. I think it just came on line in the past week or so.

Somebody in the Lawton area needs to search 380-390 MHz for P25 control channels and see if there are any more new ones that don't match with the current "old" system.
I think site 001-001 is gone.

Here is what I submitted this morning:

New US Army Fort Sill, OK system
Unknown if this is part of a larger multi-state system
(McAlester Army Ammunition Plant has the same WACN but different SID)

WACN C51B0
System ID 03B

Site 005-005 Bald Ridge?
Coodinates probably the same as the site with the same frequencies on the "old" system.
Lat 34.6924 Lon -98.3356

NAC 005

Harris system with all channels as alt CCs.

389.4375

385.025 has been active the past few days
These are the same channels as site 001-001 on the old system.
The sites on the old system are showing 385.675 as the CC for site 001-001
but I haven't been able to receive it.
I can't tell if that site is off the air and replaced with this one or
they moved it someplece where I can't receive it.

So far there has been no traffic at all but it shows some patch talkgroups

The past couple days these were the talkgroup patches
61973 > 30855, 31313
61987 > 30854, 31300
62002 > 30852, 31159
62003 > 30853, 31161

Today they were gone and it was
62020 > 30852, 31191

Still no traffic or affiliations

This morning there are some active radios on the system.

RID ranges
590007xx
590008xx

Several data transmissions. Probably OTAR.

One phase I talkgroup 40510 had a few encrypted transmissions.

The only channels used so far where 385.025 (still the CC), 385.325 and 385.675.

Several patches are still active but I haven't seen any traffic on them.

I haven't noticed any changes on the old system but I haven't been able to decode all the sites for about a week.

On the old system they removed or quit using several channels. I'm not sure exactly when.
I haven't had hits on some of them in over two years. This may not be a recent change.

These appear to be no longer used:

Site 1-1
385.025
385.325
385.675
385.975
387.775
389.025
389.4375
(7 active channels remaining)

Site 2-2
380.075
380.375
381.625
(3 active channels remaining)

Site 3-3
380.4125
(5 active channels remaining)

Site 4-4
no channels removed
(8 active channels remaining)

380.7125C
381.0125C
381.2875C
381.6750C
381.9750C

The past week or so I haven't been able to receive any sites on the old system. I can't tell if it is still on the air or because of poor band conditions and I haven't been able to receive anything but site 7 on the new system.

RID 0 makes voice calls on TGs 40510 (enc) and 40542 (clear).
On the old system the patched MP and FD talkgroups from OKWIN had RID 0. I can't tell if the new system is the same way.

TG 40510 is encrypted and has a lot of traffic. Might be MPs.
TG 40542 is Range Operations. I don't know which range or respective TG on the old system.

I think the old system it gone now but I can't verify that.
I don't know if the new system is fully operational. There doesn't seem to be a Medicine Park site on the air yet.

Site 5-5 was always showing 13 alternate CCs (besides the active CC) since the beginning but was only using 3 channels for voice/data for a few weeks. Then they added 5 more channels. Then in the past few days they added 6 more. The other sites were using all channels since the beginning. Now all channels are active on all sites.

Somebody that can receive this system all the time and receive OKWIN at the same time needs to start identifying and submitting talkgroups and figure out if the MP, FD and EMS talkgroups on OKWIN are still in use or still being patched. Also need confirmation that the old system is gone for good. I won't hold my breath on any of that happening.

I would guess that any number of talk groups between 40500 and 41000 will be allocated for Ranges and Training and will be assigned on an “as needed” basis.

I never figured out exactly how the talkgroups on the old system were organized. It had tons of talkgroups. Probably some combination of talkgroups for different training areas and facilities, different schools, courses and activites, different companies and units. So far I have logged 43 and 21 were just joins. I don't know enough Army acronyms and jargon to figure out a lot what I hear and some of it is unidentifiable. I just discovered OpenStreetMap has all the training areas. That might help ID some things.

I found one pattern but don't know if it applies to all talkgroups. Some of the new talkgroups are the same as the old talkgroups minus 20501 (the transport bus/shuttle net was 61076 and now its 40575).

I made another 380 MHz antenna so I can listen and run Unitrunker at the same time. I can receive site 7 all the time. That's the far west site and has the least amount of traffic.

I recently I heard them talking about what sounded like "maycom" batteries and "give them a maycom so they can listen on this net". I guess they are still using old M/A-COM hand helds. That might be why everything is still phase 1.

I have multiple control freqs loaded. SDRtrunk shows multiple transmissions on the control freq. What other call freqs are you monitoring to hear the different talkgroups?
