As of now (Wednesday 12/12/18) ACPS is still using encryption on all talk groups.

Not trying to revive this but Allen Co will be removing encryption from certain County Fire talk groups. Unsure of a time frame or what talk groups but the rumor is they will begin testing G5's to replace VHF paging.

That is interesting. I wonder what the motive is behind it? I was at the washington township fire department yesterday and today and it looked like everyone had a minitor 5 with them. Everything is still E as of tonight.

Any update on any talkgroups having 'E' turned off?

If they are going Unications, then yeah they have to turn off encryption for the Dispatch TG's at the very least. The others will depend on what they put in the Unications. I would expect at least the main FG's/Tacs. At least all the Public Works stuff is Clear, so maybe there is still hope on the rest? Maybe.

That is what we are trying to find out about. Have they begun transition over to the Unications, and turning off the VHF? Have they unstrapped Fire TG's on their P25 to use yet?

As of today, 154.010 still active.
It is being simulcast on TG 2041, no encryption.

What I have so far is,

2041 - ACFD Disp
1551 - FWFD Training
1553 - Tac 7 (Fire, not sure which agency)
1555 - Fire Tac, not sure which agency, probably AC Fire.

All are clear and unencrypted.

I don't know if it's been mentioned anywhere but acps is LSM and older scanners, my pro96 included do not like it. I will have to load it in the sds100 sometime and try it. I've been out of town for awhile but I'll see if I can listen again and update anything.
