Any frequency info on Cleveland's Fox 8 Skyfox helicopter?

They used to be on 455.050 but I've not listened there in several years. I think their helo was out of commision - or not used for a few years also. Don't know about recently.

19 news don't use 422.900 anymore not sure why also i have TV-5 use to use 161.760 PL-114.8 and 161.730 Pl-114.8 Action News is 450.5875 PL-71.9 and Bud is correct on the FOX-8 Frequency's 455.050 PL-127.3 and 450.050 DPL-244 all Frequency's are Simplex

Do you hear anything at all on the channels you listed? Probably some pretty cool listening if they are still active.

I would think with cell phones there would be little if any activity on them though.

I monitor so much at home from my scanner's and Morotola Radio's i do not monitor any TV station channels lol way to much to monitor some days.

Actually, frequencies like that are typically used for the live audio links from the helo to various radio stations which partner with the sponsoring TV station for traffic reports and so forth. They can be interesting listening, although monitoring them (broadcast remote frequencies) is illegal for some strange reason (ECPA 1986).

They would do that on occasion but it was mostly news and engineering coordination.

I think Fox 8 WJW is the only current Cleveland based news helo right now.
