By West Grove Fire Company July 1, 2010 The West Grove Fire Company Volunteers were dispatched to Rt 841 south of Rt 896 in Franklin township for the report of a auto accident.
Shortly after dispatch the Chester County Fire board upgraded the auto accident to serious with the report of patient with chest pains. Medic 94 was the first arriving unit on scene and reported that occupants were trapped in the vehicle.
Rescue 12 (Hannan) arrived on the scene and stabilized the vehicle and began extrication operations. Rescue 22 (Sweeney) arrived shortly after Rescue 12 and assisted with patient care and removal of trapped occupants. After the removal of two doors, two patients were successfully extricated and transported to Christiana Hospital for evaluation by Ambulance 23-1 and Ambulance 22-3.
