I just now attempted to download the FreeScan software, and Microsoft Security Essentials blocked the download, saying that it is a virus. Can this be right? I attempted the download from this website: Downloads - Sixspot Software

I also run avast and have no problems. You either need to shut the Microsoft program down or manually override it.

I downloaded FreeScan from my work computer and installed it on my home computer. I spent several hours creating a program for a BCT15X and I easily uploaded the programmed systems and groups to the scanner. I love it, it's terrific! It's the only way to go.
