I am having issues with Pro Scan software and my SDS200 scanner. It worked fine when I first got it last year in December, but about a month ago it started disconnecting from my Network so I can control it from either of my P.C.'s. The person that wrote and owns the software is no help. He should know his software inside and out, but he refers me to this forum. I paid good money for that software and I always try to get support from the people that should know it the best.

I asked Uniden about it and they told me it is definitely a Pro Scan software issue. As long as I have the setting in my scanner right, which I do, it is not their issue.

I finally do get my scanner to connect again and appear in the Pro Scan software, but this should not be an ongoing fight.

Not only that, it says if you want the colors of the scanner screen duplicated in Pro Scan software that you need to direct the software to the profile file in the Sentinel Software. I did that and finally got some of the colors to duplicate, but some are not the same as on my scanner screen.

Does anyone know how to fix the issues?

At this point, I feel like I have wasted my money.

@Localsiding
Is ProScan still having trouble connecting to the scanner when ProScan starts? The virtual display will indicate that.
if so, do the following
1) Advise if the Port setting shows 'URL' or 'Port'?
2) Click the URL Setup button and advise if the scanner IP address is correct and the Bytes RX are incrementing.
3). Advise if you have to click the Reconnect button.

2 things I see
1 If you do not control your router you do not control your network, there are reasons IT managers do not use plug and play devices.
2 You need to understand computers and networking, a computer set to power saving is not going to work unless you are sitting at the keyboard typing, SLEEP and HIBERNATE need to be set to NEVER.
My Proscan Computer running 16 copies of Proscan and controlling 16 Uniden Scanners is set to NEVER SLEEP or HIBERNATE and POWER settings are set to BEST PERFORMANCE and has run for years the OS is at Windows 10 Pro so this PC will be replaced this year.

No, I only have it installed once on my P.C.

I don't understand your secocnd question about a non supported LAN type?
Non supported LAN scanner types are all scanners ProScan supports except the BCD536HP and SDS200. Switching to a non supported LAN type will change the Port URL to Port NONE (and not port #1) so I don't know why the port would shows port #1 unless you misspoke or it was inadvertently changed to port #1. Just ignore my questions in post #15 for now but keep an eye out for the next time that ProScan doesn't automatically connect and see if the port shows URL or Port
