I have been looking at some antenna and they are quoting frequency 6,10.12.15,17,20,30,40. I want to know what these mean in frequencies.

I think that 2m is 144-148mhz and 70cm is 430-450mhz but I don't know what the rest mean. Is there a page that shows this or can someone please inform me. I have done a search but I can't find what I want.

When a band is referred to in meters they are talking about wavelength
which is the speed of light (~300,000,000 meters per second in free space vacuum) divided by the frequency.
or w=300/f where w is wavelength in meters and f is frequency in MHz

Hi Tom and all,

Not quite but understandable, it's awfully hard to get the Greek lambda to display correctly. τ See what I mean? (;->)
