Yaesu: FT-70D driver installation

Hello,
I am using Windows 10.
I installed FT-70D Programmer ADMS-10 on PC
I connect FT-70D to PC, radio is in ADMS mode,
then I try to install driver sw
On instruction manual of ADMS-10 at point 5 I read: Under "other devices" right click [Unknown devices]... (referring to Device Manager)
I have not other devices in the list
Could you please help?

I had trouble with the ADMS-10 software. I would suggest investing in RT Systems software and cable. They have worked well and the documentation is better.

I had the same problem with the ADMS software and did what ko6jw did. No problems now.

No driver required.

The FT3DR ships with a USB cable dor firmware updates only. A special cable is required for ADMS software.

Get the right cable.

Your problems are just beginning if use ADMS.

Check your manual, I bet you need the CT-27 cloning cable.

At the end I was able to install the driver, under "other devices" was not the right place in my case, it wasin another one.
And now when I transfer data from Radio to PC: Timeout error

Are you pushing the band button on the radio as soon as you initiate the transfer? Need to do it quickly.

The CT-27 cloning cable is for cloning from another FT-70. It doesn't connect to a computer.

As others have said, get the RT Systems cable and software. It's worth the price to not have to hassle with programming.

The FT-70DR uses the USB cable shipped with the radio for programming and firmware upgrades.
