I am having trouble getting anything on my new BC996t for Ft. Gordon. I have the freq's programed in and the talk groups but I when I scan it says seeking control channel, but when I go channel by channel the manual way I have find 2 different control channels. Does anyone have any ideas?

Hopefully you set it under P25.

Fort Jackson cells programming information:
Base: 406.1
Spacing: 12.5
Offset: 8192

You need to put that in Band Plan. As far as setting your offset, I don't know. It might not need it and it'll automatically detect it, but if it doesn't I guess you can try it under UHF band because that's where you can put the offset.

Hi Mike,

See http://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?sid=3210

Ft Gordon has four control channels listed, plus a number of secondary control channels. From near Gate 5 I get 3 of them.

It has to be programmed as P-25, NOT Type II.
