Perfect. I appreciate it. I had about 5 minutes time playing with it at Dayton, but was thinking Yaesu would have a software shortly after the release.

Anytime! I still have not talked myself into one. The issues are mostly resolved that are preventing me from pulling the trigger (No programming software, extension cables for the optima amp for mobile install). I wanted to use it with my 220 and 902 transverters, but i require out of band TX to do the full 902-927 band and so far it seems the MARS/CAP mod only does HF. That works for my 220 needs. but not 902. SO CLOSE!

For a long time now, Yaesu has not paid any attention to what the folks are asking for. I agree with @AK9R this is a fail waiting to happen, at least to me, and the 20 or so hams in my area I've talked to about it.
It took them a while, but the now have a cable kit in 5' , and 10' to remote mount the amp, the

YAESU SCU-66L is 10 feet long, the YAESU SCU-66 is 5 feet long.

I watched the video too. And from what I saw the menu setup is the same as the FT991, FTDX10, etc.

Why do you consider the FT-991 and FT-DX10 to have the same kind of menuing system. Perhaps it's a matter of perspective, but I think those menus are fairly different approaches. There are some similarities of course.

Not really. It is supposed to have the same receiver as the FTDX-10. For that you get both a QRP and a 100 watt base.
Not even close to the same receiver as an FTDX-10. The FTDX-10 is a very high performing receiver and #2 on Rob Sherwoods ranking of narrow spaced third order dynamic range with a rating of 107dB. The FTX-1 is rated the next one above the original Icom 7300 at 97dB and below the Icom 7610 at 98dB. I've talked to a few people that own them and the mini version and they are not thrilled with it or its ergonomics.
