G5 P25 Paging Question

New to the Unication and the quirks of it's programming. I have figured out most of what I need to do, but I am stumped on one aspect. Short of actually spending the time to capture all of the various tones and analyzing them to figure out the tone parameters, is there a way to program the pager to alert/tone if a specific talk-group becomes active?

My department that I am monitoring currently has five stations that have dedicated talk-groups for station alerting, and I have those talk groups programmed into a specific knob-setting for each station and an all-station monitoring group. I would like for the pager to alert and set off the tone I have configured if the talk group becomes active, essentially.

yes. This was the way the pagers worked prior to the 2-Tone over P25 being supported.

In your Zone/Key configuration, setup the key as a Normal TG Scan and set the alert and voice storage. Be sure to enable the buffer.
This should, in theory, sent a pager alert each time there is activity on that talk group and record that audio.

It has been years since I setup a pager in this way, but if I remember correctly, those were the steps.

If you wanted to try taking it as step further, I believe scenario 2 in this document is what you are looking for, but this is more for QCII paging. you may be able to set it up for just voice activity as well, but I have not tried this.
