Gadsden going P25?

I was talking to a friend of mine that works for the City of Gadsden and he said that the city is about to go to a P25 system. I was just wondering if anyone else has heard about this or can verify it?

I live in the Anniston area and I heard on our local news last week that Gadsden is going P25.

Thanks for the info. Did they say when this might happen? It looks like just about everyone is heading to P25! Glad I bought the P25 card for my scanner!

Nothing showing about radios. Computer dispatch equipment but nothing about radios.

Etowah County website is not working well. Not all of the site links are working.

Tried to get meeting minutes of city council and Etowah County Commission with no results.

Thanks for the heads up on Gadsden't intent to revise their system.
