Yea, I dunno about the news media, but I don't see how police reality shows could be done live anyway. I mean, what are they gonna do-sit in the patrol car or drive around on patrol for 45 minutes until they finally get a radio call and then respond to it? And who knows what the nature of that call would be? They could go the whole shift without anything really interesting going on. I would think that would get boring pretty quick.
Anyway, Galveston cops are pretty busy right now dealing with Mardi Gras. They've got quite a bit of DPS helping out, DPS 102 and even Harris County SO. I alternate between listening to them and the New Orleans cops. It seems like these spectators in New Awluns spend more time beating each other up than watching the parades

. Either that or somebody's constantly losing track of their little kids. They even have a channel set aside just for missing children.
