GPD is adding at least four TG's, GCSO are adding more tg's in 2005, GC EMS is already onboard, and the VFD's are moving onboard, as well as at least two more tg's for GFD in 05. I will be taking a lil trip through that area in March, and will see whats up for sure then... SC is almost a simple to listen to state.... almost anywhere you go, all you need is to have a TT, preferrably a digital one,.. I hope to have a PRO-96 when I go, and will run both it, my 92, and the 83 and see just what I can find.

georgetown info

I live and work in the area and if you look at the palmetto 800 on this site you'll see the talkgroups for the area. They are verified as I listend to them going to the fire dept. this am.

G'twn City PD is digital and City Fire has equipment and talkgroup but isn't using the radios at this time.

Cool, if they all go active, keep us informed. I hope to have a 96 when I make the trip over to Charleston, then up to MB, and back accross through Columbia and I-20 back home. Next week I will be rolling with a friend down to Charleston to deliver some stuff, and will be rolling my (second) 92 B, and the 83 for kicks (and to check out the NEW CRBP and see how its come along since I lived there). Any news on the digital conversion of Charleston City's TRS?

The Georgetown City PD is digital and the county SD has one talk group that is also supposed to be as well.

Midway fire seems to be using 800 all the way, but I'm sure they still tone out on vhf.
