If I become a paid subscriber on the RadioReference website and I sync all of the frequencies over to Win500, will it do everything for me?

If you are a paid subscriber and have win500 and the programing cable you will be able to import the system from RR into the software, save it, and upload the system to you scanner, you can import all you want, conventional frequencies, trunked systems, save it, you can add to, subject from, edit, alter, whatever with the software, and you'll be on your way... That's what most users of the newer scanners do, then you can play with it and learn how to program by hand... :)

Or someone in your area might have a win file already set up and if they attach it to a message, you can upload that into your scanner...

Problem:

I uploaded the RadioReference database for Morris County, NJ to Win500 and it came up with the following error:
One or more of the systems VHF/UHF frequencies don't match the bandplan information sent in the RR XML. It appears that either the bandplan info is incomplete, or the system frequency data is incorrect. You may need to obtain additional or more accurate trunking table information before this system can be tracked correctly.

I tried uploading everything to my scanner anyway and have not heard anything on any of the trunking talkgroups. Please help!

I fooled with this file for 5 minutes, if you want to unzip it in your win500 directory and take a look at it, I don't know the system, but, try it if you want... It's attached, let me know if it's ok, I tried...

My desk blocked out the trunking part of the scanner, so everytime I would wait to hear something on my scanner, it wouldn't pick it up. I felt like an idiot. Thanks for everyone's help! Would you reccomend buying the Win500 software?

I did, it will expire in 30 days, I have used it allot to change frequencies, add or subtract systems, change colors on LED, change delay time, in my case it comes in handy, that will have to be your choice. I'm glad your up and running!!! Enjoy!!! :D
