Check the Saratoga County 800 system. Some agencies are exploring cross-border arrangements for better communications. For example, Mechanicville PD in Saratoga County also operates on Rensselaer County's system. (They also patrol a hamlet in Rensselaer County.)

It’s weird because when I could hear them in the background when a dispatcher was talking on the county hq dispatch. I could hear the radio keying up, the radio ident noise. I heard the unit number. I didn’t think the digital radios would broadcast that radio ident chirp.

So you have had two suggestions which you appear to have ruled out without trying either one. Good luck.

I’ve actually tried to the best I can. So you're assuming incorrectly.
1. I wouldn’t know how to look the P25. I didn’t ask yet because I was trying to research it. They are on 155 something I think so when P25 is mentioned that is 800 right? I'm no expert. As suggested by k2hz who prob knows more than I do.
2.Warren County has no 800 for their services that’s published. Wouldn’t it be really silly to have GFPD dispatched by a different county? Not saying it’s not possible but again there’s no information out there that I can find. My ears and common sense tell me maybe they are not because you can hear another dispatcher in the background talking to them while someone was broadcasting on the EMS frequency and HQ frequency. Heard it clear late last night. That would tell me they are still in the same room. Which would make sense since the SP and SO interact with them often. Again not saying anyone else is wrong I was simply stating what I am hearing.
That’s why I came here to ask. I looked into any available database that I am aware of (here) and do not see anything published.

While trying to look into this I noticed that some information is not updated because of govt shutdown so things are slow. Licenses and such. Also a tower in the city of GF that was owned by TW Cable was sold or whatever and had crews there all summer long outfitting it with all sorts of stuff. So maybe they did update something. Wild guess though but I watched the guys working at the top of the thing during the summer thinking they were nuts.
Again that’s why I came here to ask. I’m no expert I appreciate the input and tried to look into the suggestions to the best of my ability. I’m not some super tech that knows everything. That’s why I pay for a subscription to come and look up what’s available and ask for input from those who prob know way more than me.
I’ll simply just say thank you since I had to backspace and edit a lot here. I didn’t want to fall into the black hole of online forums and those who just can’t help themselves of simply being ... whatever.

Are you monitoing the frequency with PL enabled? If you monitor in CSQ mode you would hear digital noise during P25 or other, non analog, transmissions. Turning PL off would also indicate if they are still analog but swithced to a differnet PL/DPL. If the frequency is quiet with PL off, then they probably have moved elsewhere.

Yes I am. I did pop in a duplicate frequency and put it in auto. I didn’t hear anything but it was that time of night when things are at a lull. I’ll try a few things based off that.
Thank you I appreciate it.

I also remember during the summer a tone was being broadcasted that wasn’t intentional. It happened on multiple occasions. Sounded more like feedback or whatever. Like some hardware issue. I heard SP asking the county dispatch if their radios were down and I did hear them say that they were experiencing problems.
That would add up to changing things around as suggested.

Have you checked to see if they are now dispatched on the Sheriff's channels?

I’ve checked all available sources and they are still listed as being on their own. I’ll keep trying to scan to see if I get lucky.
I have been advised by a reliable source:
"They have moved to conventional P25 VHF and are still dispatched by Warren County. NAC 972 No change in dispatch frequencies."

RRDB updated.

FYI I wasn’t hearing anything so I let it scan for the NAC and picked them up using NAC 792. All other info is good.
Thanks again.
Something like that (incorrect NAC) should be submitted to the county page so it can be corrected.

I confirmed 792 is correct and I will correct the RRDB entry. My source transposed the numbers when he gave me the original info.

792 makes sense in that it is a city exchange for Glens Falls (518-792-xxxx). A lot of radio shops are using this method to determine NAC codes. I see it everywhere.

Picking up Glens Falls police now that the correct NAC 792 is programmed in. I was wondering why I couldn't hear anything before. Comes in great, here in speigletown NY, before they changed over to P25, the channel came in poorly.
