Hello,

Best wishes for the Season to All

A bit OT, but thought someone here might know:

I presently use SDRConsole on a W10 pc with a RSPdx

I also usually port it over to my Mac's monitor using VNC Viewer so I don't have to keep my head twisted to see the w10 pc Monitor.
Works surprisingly well.

The W10 screen has a very small, simple, single line rectangular display of GMT from a very old Windows app that doesn't work, or transfer
to a Mac.

Anyone know, for the Mac, of a small rectangular digital GMT App that is Very simple, and
displays only the GMT time ?

Zillions available that show att the time zones, etc, but don't want that.

Just a simple, small, single line of a digital readout of GMT

Suggestions ?

Thanks,
Bob

just get a time gadget and set it to GMT.

I run two on my computer EST and UTC.

I keep mine on my taskbar.

I have had a Casio PQ-40U world time clock for well over 25 years and it's on it's second battery - it's main disadvantage is that the UTC time doesn't show a leading zero.

Hi ai80, "Electron Wrangler",

Best wishes for the New Year.

If you get a minute, might you give me a link to the ones you use, please ?

Best wishes, stay well,
Bob

Assuming you have some version of Windows.

It is NOT a Link.
The appropriate software is already in all versions of Windows.

For Win10:
1) Click on the "Time and Date" section of your taskbar.
2) A calendar will pop up
3) Click on "Date and Time Settings" near the bottom of the calendar
4) A "Settings Date and Time" pop up box will appear
5) Scroll down to "add clocks for different time zones" ,click on "add clocks for different time zones"
6) A "date and Time pop up will appear
7) click on "show this clock"
DO THIS FIRST otherwise the new time will not show up
8) click on "select time zone"
9) a drop down list will appear
10) scroll down to UTC
11) click on UTC
12) "Enter Display Name" you can enter what you want, I just use "UTC"
13) Click on "ENTER"
14) After you hit "ENTER", the "Settings Date and Time" pop up box will still be seen on your screen.
15) hit X to close it.
16) you will now be back at your regular computer screen
17) to see the Local Time AND UTC hover over the time and date section of your taskbar

Activating this function in WinXP and Win7 is similar.

Hi Dan,

Great.
Thanks for the detailed writeup. Much appreciated.

BTW: Know of anything similar (very simple, single line) for the Mac by any chance ?

Regards,
Stay well,
Bob

I prefer the upgraded World Clock Calendar found in Linux Mint. Love to find something similiar in windoze.

I have the older version with two actual clocks. Needs batteries but no info on MFJs site.
A pair of stacked LR44s looks about right.
Meanwhile, I use this:
