Coming back from Spokane over the weekend I heard dispatch talking on 1003 "Law 2 Data". I didn't hear any units on it, only dispatch so would that classify as "De" (partial encryption) as opposed to "DE"? Should I submit a database change? Was it just a fluke that encryption got temporarily turned off? Again only hearing one-sided conversation from dispatch and I don't know if that's normal partial encryption or not as I've never run into that before. I normally have that system avoided because I thought all law was encrypted.

If your unsure if its normal or not and you cant monitor it longer i would not suggest any submissions or changes.
They could be on a back up console that didnt have encryption enabled or had issues with it.

My experience is randomly and rarely MACC Law radios are keyed unencrypted. Not a normal thing.
