GRE equals ?

Does anyone know what GRE stands for, or have an email address for them? I have checked my manuals and the ID plates on the scanners, but all they say is : Custom Manufactured In China for Radio Shack.

is there such a thing as GRE scanners or is the only way to get a GRE is buy a Radio shack
(like uniden has uniden and then uniden radio shack

If you go on eBay, and search on "GRE scanner", you will see several under the GRE logo. They all seem to be in the UK.
