GRE PSR-600 no receive P25 trunk, but weather works

Very interesting thankyou. I am picking up the control channel which is 852.3625, but it sounds weak and noisy. I should be hearing it strong if it's coming from the tower about three miles away. My GRE600 used to work but not as good as the old Uniden scanners. It finally stopped working on the P25 and that's when I put it up on the shelf until a few days ago. I might try your test and take it for a drive to see if it starts working.

I would have to agree with the simulcast distortion with the PSR 600. I can decode at 66% and not clearly hear most transmissions on a P25 trunking system. My 996P2 a little better and my SDS 200 is excellent on the same system.

Thanks, I'll have to look into the SDS200. Is there a application for programming it?

Uniden has Sentinel for free and does your updates. ProScan is also available for $50.00.
