Ok, this is a dumb question, but i don't have the manual for ths device anymore. I just put an antena on my roof and am running the cable(s); through the gre spr amp. One is labled output and the other input. Which cable goes where? Is the input for the cable coming from outside the house from the antena? Or the one that goes into the scanner. Also, this device seems to cause more interfernce than it helps. Anyone use one of these with success? Thanks for any help in advance.

output to scanner. Not familiar with that one, does it list any specs on it? Amplfiers sometimes bring in more noise than good signals, likely depends on the frequencies you are trying to improve with it. And quality of the amp, antenna, cable, etc.

Have 2 working GRE 3001s, and a couple GRE portables in use. All work well dependent upon the RF environment. Would not be able to receive several freq.of interest/simplex communications/mobiles/talk arounds without them. It's not always desirable to run the full gain - if you experience interference drop the gain or try a different antenna config.

Yeah, I'm using it on a Pro-96 that has the State Police, and multiple local agencies most of which if not all are now digital, so this could be the problem. I'll try and single out a freq, and look for a different anenta. thr antena is an old magnetic roof mount for a car, so this could be hurting things also.

Yes been using 2 of them for many many years now with very good results but I am also in a very rural area not close to any city or towers at all..One is hooked to a 14 element 800 yagi and the other to a Scantenna both fed with LMR-400 coax.

I have three of the GRE super amps in service on my station. They work great,Inexpensive, adjustable and portable! And If it brings in too much interference just turn down the gain. Well worth the $50!
