Hi,
Anyone encountered the programming software for the 800 losing its mind from time to time?

Three times now I have had it suddenly declare "File not found" and make reference to a particular trunk system I downloaded from the RRDB. In each case I have had to redownload it (and reconfigure the scan lists, rename talkgroups to my preferences, etc).

The most recent time this happened, it was right after I deleted two conventional frequencies from the Conventional page - by highlighting them and clicking the Delete button, as you would expect to do.

I am using the most recent software, and up to date DBs and CPU/DSP.

The system in question is RRDB SID 204 (Calgary Digital Radio), just for reference.

Thanks,
--j.

I haven't encountered this "yet".

However, just for info, I have found that attempting to enter frequencies that don't conform to its internal band plan can cause problems. In my situation it refused to accept any frequency at all from then on. I had to switch band plans, then switch it back again to get it to reset.

It's off topic but thought you might want to know.

I have been able to consistently replicate this issue regardless of which slot the trunk system is in. It appears that the ._TS file for a Smartzone trunk system is getting deleted every time the system is accessed by the EZScan software, be it to view/edit it in the "Trunked Systems" tab, programming the receiver with the "Send to Scanner" command, etc.

I don't have the time this instant to try it with another Smartzone system, but I will do so when I get home from work in about 15 hours.
