Steve, I don't believe that this system is actually up and running. The SYSID, and NAC don't show at all in the database. I wonder if he's tried the conventional frequencies?
Larry

I think you may be right, clicking on the FCC listings in the Spalding county database, comes back with nothing from them.

Ok, I will try all of this and get back with you. I'm glad it hopefully not just me, I had become very frustrated with all of it. Thanks for all of the help.

ok so I'm getting that sound on 853.5875, 852.9625, 853.9875 Does that mean these are the control channels? Should I redo my entries with these as control numbers?

I did not see the 853.9875 in the RR database, you could take those freqs and set them as a wildcard and see what you get, I don't know how to set it up as a wild card in any of the software (s) maybe some body else does.

Hit the tune button, enter those freq's one at a time:

To the left of the freq you should have some info, what does it say?

You should see % of the signal and a SID#, what is the SID#?

Ok so 853.5875 (3-4) bars signal strength, 852.9625 (2-3) bars, but no sid# on either??? Nothing but the feq number no other info on screen. I found the fcc numbers too and entered them all first, but im getting more with only the ones listed in rr i have one listed as wildcard and am picking up some on that too.

The RR database for Spalding's system isn't completely correct. Here's what's listed and missing:

851.0125 – conventional (8CALL90) WPKI744 (if rebanded)
851.1000 – not found for Spalding (used by Floyd and Forsyth counties)
851.2250 P25 trunking WQNP495
851.3250 – P25 trunking WQNP495
851.5125 – conventional (8TAC91) WPKI744 (if rebanded)
851.6000 – P25 trunking WQNP495
852.2000 – P25 trunking WQNP495
852.3500 – P25 trunking WQNP495
852.7250 – OpenSky WQNP497
852.8125 – P25 trunking WQNP495
852.9625 – OpenSky WQNP497
853.5875 – OpenSky WQNP497
853.6375 – P25 trunking WQNP495

Missing:
852.1000 – P25 trunking WQNP495

Try entering only the 8 frequencies for WQNP495 and see if the missing 852.1000 frequency helps.

The 3 channel OpenSky system is for data only and the other 2 frequencies are for mutual aid/interop.

Thanks, maybe this will help JCHEEVES. I'm sure he'll read this and try it. :)

Can anybody get Splading County to trunk on digital scanner? All I get is the talkgroup stopping and no audio. I'm using Pro2096.
