Grundy EMS Recognized

Grundy County EMS has been recognized as an Air Evac Lifeteam "Working Together, Saving Lives" EMS partner. The EMS agency was honored during a ceremony last Wednesday at the Grundy EMS station in Coalmont.
The Working Together, Saving Lives program was established by Air Evac Lifeteam, a rural provider of air ambulance services, as a means of recognizing EMS agencies that go above and beyond the call of duty to take care of their patients and the communities they serve.
Base Manager Brandon Gray said he is very pleased Grundy County EMS was chosen for this honor.
"I am honored to present Grundy County EMS with the "Working Together, Saving Lives" coin," said Gray. "We appreciate the partnership we have built with Grundy EMS, and look forward to working together and providing the best in patient care for years to come."
The Grundy EMS logo is symbolized on a coin that will be distributed to other emergency personnel throughout the Air Evac Lifeteam service area who go above and beyond the call of duty on specific patient cases. Grundy EMS also was presented a plaque to commemorate the achievement.
"The Working Together, Saving Lives program" is a way for our company to recognize the team effort we all play in the lives of our patients," said Air Evac Lifeteam Vice President of Operations Seth Myers. "It takes the efforts of many, from first responders, law enforcement officers and EMS personnel to emergency department staff and physicians, to provide the level of the care the patients we serve need and deserve."
During the ceremony, the Coffee County Air Evac Lifeteam also recognized the University of the South at Sewanee’s EMS service and education program for its support and help in the area of outreach education. Base Manager Brandon Gray presented a plaque of appreciation to EMS Director Dennis Jones, who is also an instructor of the Sewanee EMS program.
Air Evac Lifeteam is an air ambulance service dedicated to providing rural communities throughout the central United States with increased access to emergency health care. The company’s business philosophy is based on the belief that air ambulances should be placed in areas of greatest need – rural communities that are often hours away from lifesaving trauma care.
