WS1040: GSP FREQUENCY

I AM NEW TO FORUM. CAN YOU PLEASE TELL ME IF I CAN HEAR GSP ON MY DIGITAL WHISTLER WS1040. IF SO WHAT IS THE FREQUENCY? IV BEEN TOLD BY SEVERAL PEOPLE WE CANT GET IT ON THE SCANNER ANYMORE BUT A FEW SAYS I CAN. JUST A LITTLE CONFUSED. THANKS

We are going to need some information on who specifically "GSP" is. What does "GSP" stand for? "Garden State Parkway"? "Georgia State Patrol? " "Georges St-Pierre"? other possibilities here Since you didn't provide location info in your profile we have no way of knowing where you're from or who you're looking to listen to. Do let us know so we can better assist you

Assuming you mean Global Positioning System - including GLONAS and Galileo - the answer is NO.

The original US GPS transmits at around 1547 Mhz, outside the range of the scanner - and - there will be nothing to hear anyway. It is a data transmission, that needs to be decoded by a proper GPS receiver.

If it is the Georgia State Patrol, then the WS1040 will be able to monitor those P-25 frequencies.
