GSP Statewide and Atlanta

We will be traveling through GA in a few weeks, en route to FLA, and I would like to know if GSP is still on VHF Statewide? Also, what about GSP in Atlanta; are they on 800 and if so, how should I program my GRE 500 to receive them? Any help will be greatly appreciated!

GSP dispatch is on 154.680 Mhz and their mobiles are on 154.800 Mhz. You'll need both frequencies to hear both sides of the conversation. I have the PSR500 and the Atlanta TRS is preloaded.... not sure if GSP is in it but the info is in the database.

GSP is on VHF statewide and on the Atlanta trunk system around Atlanta

Can you adviise me what I need to program into my scanner (GRE 500) to receive GSP in the Atlanta area?

Just look at the Atlanta TRS (NON-P25) and plug in the control channels - Atlanta TRS

Yes they are, as of the last Atlanta NASCAR race (they were using it for BS talking).

BTW - Where in JAX are you?

Have "dual-citizenship"....... SW Georgia & southside Jacksonville (near our spaghetti junction - I295,9A,I95), due to work requirements.

So, I frequent the southern end of I-75, but make it to ATL every month or so.

I was raised in Mandarin! Near the end of Julington Creek! I sold off ScanAtlanta to ScanGwinnett about a year ago.

BTW - Sorry about the hijack as well, don't often see my old stomping grounds brought up.
